The initial concept of "Smart TV" is very simple, in all the complexity now involved. Simply put, it is a television that has access to the internet. This access can happen in a number of ways; starting with built in Wi-Fi or LAN connection, access to browsers and regular software updates and more recently the integration of Android, Google or brand specific smart hubs, allowing access to a plethora of applications.
A major development that has come about with a smart TV is a series of smart remote controls. Most of these tend to use a Bluetooth connection, rather than a traditional infrared connection, so no more needing to point your remote directly at the TV. Most remote controls may also now provide buttons that directly link Applications i.e. YouTube, Netflix etc.
Screens: To a certain extent the development of smart TVs and being able to access content online with varying resolution has prompted development in panel quality. TV panels add another more complex layer in the selection of your next TV, current formats include : LED, LCD (or both), ULED, QLED, OLED, picture frame etc. much to go over and discuss through our team.
